The Process
How it works
Buying or selling a personalised plate requires the completion and lodgement of a Personalised Plates Transfer Application form. Lodging this form attracts a fee (currently $114.20) and requires signatures of both the seller and buyer and can only be processed at a Transport and Main Roads Customer Service Centre. Once done, there are no ongoing or reoccuring fees, the plate is yours for life!
